| Our client is looking for a Physician who is either vocationally registered in New Zealand of eligible to be registered, to fill the position of Clinical Director Medicine. We are looking for someone who is an experienced clinician who has previously held a Head of Department position, and who has a desire to lead the team of Physicians, Paediatricians and specialist health of older people. This role interfaces between the Heads of Department, and the Chief Medical Officer. The Clinical Director is responsible for providing - Clinical leadership including - Involvement in the strategic planning process - Management of the Heads of Department - Credentialing - Clinical audit & peer review - Clinical risk management - Active participation in the clinical governance model - Ensuring adequate medical cover across the services - Management of medical costs - Performance monitoring - Service Improvement - Providing a 0.8 FTE clinical service as a general physician. - Participation in the oncall roster is required |
